Fluorine is the most electron-negative element. Fluorinated organic compounds are of high significance inareas such as materials science, catalysis, medicine, andbiochemistry.This is because the reactivity and properties ofmolecules and ions can change dramatically in the presence offluorinated moieties. There is a growing demandfor the development of unprecedented routes to accessfluorinated molecules and building blocks, and even to designnew scaffolds.Our research mainly focused on the synthesisof novel fluorinating reagents for asymmetric catalysis and radical processes.
